Part of statement by our co-chairs regarding the Ukrainian plane crash:
War is disaster and the latest tension between Iran and the US have shown the terrible extent that this disaster can reach. The US and Iran governments, which aim to maintain their rules through the recent showdowns, caused the killing of 176 innocent people.
Downing the Ukrainian plane by the Iranian army during this showdown is an unforgivable crime. Those who insist on war policies are responsible for this calamity.
We call on everyone, especially the peoples of the Middle East, to stand against the war policies that can bring nothing but death and disaster to our world.
We extend our condolences to the families of 176 people who lost their lives in the plane crash.
