The senators from the French parliament Cecile Duflot and Sergio Coronado, and the representatives from the Embassy of France visited our Parliamentary Group. The delegation met our Vice Co-chair in charge of Foreign Affairs, Hişyar Özsoy, our Parliamentary Administrator adn Istanbul deputy Sırrı Süreyya Önder, our deputies from Batman Ayşe Acar Başaran and Diyarbakır, Ziya Pir.

The vice chairman of German Social Democrat Party (SPD)  Thorsten Schäfer-Gümbel  and accompanying delegation also visited our parliamentary group today. The delegation met our Vice Co-chair Hişyar Özsoy, our deputies Berdan Öztürk (Ağrı), Ziya Pir (Diyarbakır), Ali Atalan (Mardin ) and Aycan İrmez (Şırnak).

At both meetings, our delegation informed that there were no legal grounds for the practice of isolation of our co-chairs and deputies, and stated that the AKP government used the 15 July coup attempt as an opportunity for its oppressive politics against the opposition and the silence of the international community on this matter is perceived as a support for AKP government. The delegations exchanged views on issues of the demolition of Kurdish towns and displacement of their populations. Our delegation stated that the international community should be more sensitive to these issues in order to enforce Turkey to return to the ground of democracy.
