Ayşe Acar Başaran, HDP MP for Batman, has presented a question proposal to Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım. In her written question proposal, Başaran mentioned the problems that foreign press members go through to report in Turkey.
Her questions are listed below:
1. How many foreign journalists were denied entry to Turkey since 2016? Why were they denied entry?
2. How many foreign journalists have been put in 'black list'? Why have they been listed as such?
3. How many foreign journalists have been granted a press visa and accreditation since 2016? How many have been denied? Why have they been denied?
4. How many applications of foreign journalists have been left unresponded at Turkish embassies abroad since 2016?
