Our Co-chair Pervin Buldan has sent a letter of condolences to the Plaza de Mayo Mothers:
I have learned with sadness about the passing of dear Carmen Cobo, one of the founders of Plaza de Mayo Mothers in Argentina. Cobo was one of the mothers who have been struggling for decades to find the children those were disappeared during the dictatorship in Argentina.
My deepest sympathies go out to Plaza de Mayo Mothers and Cobo’s family.
The struggle of Carmen Cobo and Plaza de Mayo Mothers has always been an inspiration for us, the families of the victims of enforced disappearance in Turkey. We will cherish her memory in our struggle.
