Dear friends from HDP,
We heard the attacks on offices and politicians of HDP in Fethiye, Urla, Aksaray and in other cities. We watch the events and growing tensions in Turkey with great concern and want to express our solidarity.
The attacks on HDP-offices and politicians are attacks on democracy. The Turkish security institutions are in the duty to safeguard the election campaign and political activities. It cannot be, that nationalists and fascists attack other parties and politicians and Turkish authorities just watch or turn into henchmen themselves. These attacks have to be stopped immediately. Safety for political activities has to be guarenteed.
We wish you power and endurance for your elections campaign! Don’t get discouraged! We stand by your side!
We also heard about the tragic death of Berkin Elvan. We extend our deepest sympathy to his family. And we express our solidarity with the victims of Gezi-protests. We support the demands of clearance; those who are responsible have to be brought to justice.
