I would like to sincerely salute all friends who advocated democracy and opposed the pressure, threats and conspiracy against our party HDP through my personality. You have supported me.
As it is evident in Anatolian News agency's report made about me, in which the prosecutor's office and police were the source while I was in custody, I'm facing an intrique. Fethullah Gülen community was purged from the police, but their methods and mentality are still in force. Even when I can not see my lawyer while I was detained for 5 days, the words of a person who slandered about me was circulated through the agency of state!
I have been targeted because of participating Zakir Karabulut's funeral, who was murdered in the massacre in peace rally on October 10, 2015 in Ankara and giving a speech on behalf of HDP at the ceremony. The rest of the statement signed by the person mentioned above is entirely falsification, a scenario, a lie.
We did not see the statements of that person upon which we were accused of at police station, at the court or prosecution office. The name of that person and his words were held out from us. We're faced with the necessity of refuting the false accusations of a statement by whom and when it had been given was "unknown". We refuted it of course, because my arrival to Bitlis and my departure from there were documented. But the result was the same though. We have been arrested. Yet we experienced a judgment practice which came to heel in front of the ruling power and obviously, the "it was commanded from the top".
We closely saw and observed in this period that calumnious which spread like a malignant tumor in the 1990s under the name of "confessions" are being tried to be revived. Many friends of Zakir Karabulut have been imposed to "repentance, confession" while they were detained. Unfortunately, the lawyers appointed by Tokat Bar Association also took part in these impositions made by TEM police instead of defending these young people under that heavy pressure. The young have been threatened by being expelled from school, destroying their future, having not a teaching job and falling into decay in prisons. They were especially forced to make false statements about me. Many of those that have refused were arrested. I think the slanderer's statement spread by the Anatolian Agency has been probably taken under these conditions.
We have also witnessed a fight against moral integrity of Zakir Karabulut in the police operation. They are still trying to criminalize our dear Zakir, former Treasurer of HDP Tokat provincial organization who has been a peace martyr. They even do not leave Zakir in his grave alone though there were no investigations when he was alive. They are totally unable to stand embracing this brave young men murdered by ISIS and his funeral. We will never cease to embrace Zakir Karabulut, our peace martyr.
One of the policemen that detained me told; "my figure is too Turkish". What was I doing in HDP with this appearance?! I think they are making us to pay a price for standing shoulder to shoulder with the Kurdish people in this difficult period. Their specific aim is to break up the common democratic struggle of Turkish and Kurdish people, as usual. As I said in response to that police; "I am Turk, I am a democrat, and I am HDP". We, socialists, democrats, ecologists, the ones struggling for labor, and women; will continue to be with HDP against fascism, with all left colors of the Turkish people.
