On behalf of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) in Turkey, we congratulate you on your victory in the presidential elections of Brazil. We wish you great success in your third term presidency.
We are going through troubled times in which right-wing populist politics are on the rise around the world, and peoples are facing multiple crises caused by these right-wing policies. In such a global context, we are happy to see that Brazilian peoples have made the right choice in line with democracy, justice and basic human rights. Your victory is also a huge relief for everyone everywhere who cares about the ecological future of our planet. We are certain that your success is already a source of morale and inspiration for those who struggle against the policies of injustice, inequality and oppression around the world, especially in Latin America.
